Pola is a traditional Malabar dish, which is similar to cake,but made without an oven. It is one of the favourite snacks during ifthar time. It can be sweet or savoury. You can make a wide variety of Pola using eggs, bread, banana, apples, carrots, chicken, fish, meat etc... For Marination: Boneless Chicken - 200g (cut into small pieces) Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Kasmiri Chilli powder - 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp Lemon juice - 1 tsp Salt - to taste For Masala : Onion - 2 (medium) Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Kashmiri Chilli powder - 1 tsp Chicken Masala - 1 tsp Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp For Batter: All purpose flour ( Maida) - 1 cup Egg - 2 Milk - 1 cup Vegetable Oil - 1 cup Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp Salt - to taste Put above ingredients in a blender and make a smooth batter and keep it aside.
