BLACK JAMUN JUICE
Black Jamun or Java Plum or Naaval pazham is a nutritious seasonal fruit found in Asian region. Jamun is a delicious tropical plum-like fruit which is rich in vitamins and minerals and it has so many medicinal properties. It has unique color (purplish black) and taste (sweet and tangy). As compared to other fruits, it is loaded with nutrients essential for good health and is very less in a calorie which makes it a perfect choice of healthy diet.
Ingredients:
Fresh Black jamun / Naaval pazham - 10-12
Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
Sugar to taste
Salt - a pinch
Chilled Water as needed
Ice cubes as needed
Method of preparation:
Wash black jamun thoroughly and deseed it. Take a mixer grinder, add chopped black jamun, salt, required sugar and lemon juice, grind it to puree.

Now add enough ice water and once again blend it for few seconds. Strain through a metal strainer to remove little pulps.
At the time of serving, wet the rim of the glass with lime. Scatter the sugar on a plate and dip the rim in the sugar, so that the sugar will get coated on the rim of glass.
Now pour the Naaval Pazham juice into the glass and add ice cubes into it. Serve immediately.
*** You can also use frozen Black jamuns for this
*** Adjust the taste of sugar accordingly.. If the jamuns is sweeter then you can reduce the amount of sugar
