BRAIDED CHICKEN BREAD:



Ingredients:
For the Dough:
  1. All purpose flour - 4 cups
  2. Instant yeast - 1 tbsp
  3. Salt - 1 tsp
  4. Oil - 4 tbsp
  5. Egg - 1 (plus one for glazing)
  6. Sugar - 1 tsp
For Chicken Filling:
  1. Minced chicken - 250 g 
  2. Onions (finely chopped) - 2 small
  3. Ginger (chopped) - 1tsp
  4. Garlic (chopped) - 1 tsp
  5. Salt - 1 tsp.
  6. Black pepper - 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli flakes - 1 tbsp
  8. Green chilies (chopped) - 3
  9. Chilli sauce - 1 tsp
  10. Oil - 2 tbsp




Method of Preparation:
Preparation of Dough:
  • In a bowl mix together flour, salt, sugar, instant yeast, Oil and 1 egg.
  • Knead to a medium soft dough with slightly warm water, leave to rise for 1 hour.
Preparation of filling:
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil, add chopped onion & saute till it becomes translucent.
  • Add chopped green chillies, ginger & garlic to the onion & saute well.
  • Add black pepper powder, red chilli flakes & salt & mix well
  • Add minced chicken to the above mixture & mix well. Then add chilli sauce to it & cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame and keep aside the mixture to cool completely.
  • Now divide the dough into two or three parts depending on what size loaves of chicken bread you want. Roll the dough to a rectangular shape, snip the sides with scissors or a knife, put filling in the center and fold each side so they overlap each other (like a braid) the filling will show slightly but that's OK, 
  • Brush top with oil & beaten egg, sprinkle sesame seeds and bake on 180 degree C for 20 minutes.
