EGGLESS MARBLE CAKE

A marble cake design is achieved by very lightly blending light and dark batter. It can be a mixture of vanilla and chocolate cake, in which case it is mainly vanilla, with streaks of chocolate. 
 


Ingredients:
  1. Condensed milk (milkmaid) -400 g
  2. All-purpose flour - 2 cups
  3. Unsalted butter - 125 g
  4. Sugar - 2 - 3 tbsp
  5. Baking powder - 1 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking soda - 1 1/2 tsp
  7. Vanilla essence - 2 tsp
  8. Milk - 250 ml (1 cup)
  9. Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
  10. salt - a pinch

Method of Preparation:

  • Preheat the oven at 180 degree C for 10 minutes. 
  • Sieve All purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda together. Keep it aside.
  • In a bowl, mix condensed milk, butter, sugar, salt, vanilla essence and beat well .
  • Add milk and beat for a few more minutes.
  • Fold in flour gradually and mix well until it gets well incorporated.
  • Now take 1/3 of the batter in another bowl and add cocoa powder to it and mix well.
  • First fill the tray with a layer of vanilla (white) batter.
  • Then top it with a layer of chocolate batter followed by vanilla batter.
  • Fill the tray alternatively ending it in vanilla batter.
  • Then take a knife and insert it deep in the tin and create a swirl on all the 4 corners and in the middle.
  • Bake at 180 degree C for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.



*** If you are using salted butter then you can omit the salt from the ingredients
